Nestled in the heart of the charming Tiong Bahru neighbourhood, our clinic was founded with a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves personalised, effective eye care—especially growing children and seniors.
Tiong Bahru Eyecare & Myopia Clinic began as a response to a rising concern in Singapore: the growing number of young children developing myopia (short-sightedness) at an early age. Driven by a deep passion for proactive eyecare, our team set out to create a space where modern eye care meets community warmth.
We’ve built a practice around:
Our clinic isn’t just about prescribing glasses—it’s about building long-term relationships with families, guiding them through every stage of their lives, and offering the latest in vision science, all in a friendly and approachable environment.
Today, we’re proud to be part of the Tiong Bahru community, helping both young and old see better, feel confident, and enjoy life’s goodness with clarity.
Vision Care with Heart, Expertise, and Innovation
With over 30 years of passionate dedication to the world of Optometry, Eu Jin is not just a highly respected practitioner—he’s a true visionary (pun intended!). Known for his warm, approachable nature and unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, Eu Jin has built a career centered around putting patients first.
His journey began with a bang—graduating top of his class with the Ministry of Health Gold Medal Award in 1997. Since then, he’s earned a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of Melbourne, a Doctor of Naturopathy, and a Master’s in Clinical Optometry from Aston University.
From his early days in retail practice to sharpening his clinical expertise at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Eu Jin has seen it all—managing everything from everyday eye exams to complex eye conditions. He later brought his skills to the cutting edge of innovation, working with an R&D team to help develop breakthrough lens technologies, including early myopia control lenses that are now changing the game in vision care.
A published researcher and lecturer, he spent over two decades shaping the future of the profession—mentoring the next generation of eye care professionals at both polytechnic and university levels. He’s also taken his passion beyond the clinic walls, conducting voluntary eye screenings across Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore to bring essential eye care to those who need it most.
As a seasoned trainer, Eu Jin was a driving force for clinical excellence in the Asia Pacific region, empowering eye care professionals with the knowledge and tools to provide top-tier care.
Today, you’ll find Eu Jin thriving in private practice, where he offers highly personalized eye exams and vision care plans tailored to each patient’s lifestyle. Whether helping kids manage myopia or supporting healthy vision in later life, his approach is always grounded in empathy, expertise, and a genuine love for what he does.
His guiding philosophy?
“Every pair of eyes tells a story. My role is to listen, understand, and provide care that’s as unique as the person behind them.”
With Eu Jin, eye care isn’t just a service—it’s a lifelong journey, and he’s honored to walk it with every patient.
Your Caring Optometrist
Raymond Toh is an experienced optometrist with a Bachelor of Science in Optometry from the University of Manchester. He began his career in a major optical chain, where he quickly built strong skills in both ophthalmic lenses and contact lens fitting—rising to a managerial role in just a short time.
Driven by a passion for education and patient care, Raymond went on to manage the Optometry Centre at a local polytechnic. There, he worked closely with educators and guided student optometrists in delivering quality eyecare services to the public.
Now, he is back in private practice, doing what he loves most—helping people see better. He’s especially passionate about tackling childhood myopia and creating personalized plans to slow it down. Every day, He is here to support families and individuals with clear vision and practical care that truly makes a difference.
One of Raymond’s key passions is Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) —a game-changing, non-surgical method that allows patients to see clearly by simply wearing lenses overnight. He has seen first-hand how Ortho-K has transformed the lives of many young clients, slowing the progression of myopia and giving them the freedom to enjoy school, sports, and daily life without glasses. His work in this field has extended beyond the clinic, influencing how families manage childhood myopia across the community and beyond.
Whether it’s guiding a child through their first pair of Ortho-K lenses or helping adults find clear vision solutions, Raymond is dedicated to making a lasting impact—one pair of eyes at a time.
Whether you’re managing myopia, looking for the right lenses, or just need a caring professional to look after your eyes, Raymond is here to help.
At Tiong Bahru Eyecare, we believe great vision is more than just clear eyesight— it’s the foundation of confidence, comfort, and quality of life.
